IS THIS A FREE COUNSELLING SERVICE?

Left and Right Counselling does provide a limited capacity free youth counselling service that is based around a persons financial capacity. Some financial details may be required to join the free service.

CAN I SELF REFER?

Yes! Anyone can contact us to learn more about our service and what options are available to them. If you’re under 18 years of age, you’ll need a legal guardian to sign documents to use our service

DO YOU OFFER TELEHEALTH SESSIONS AS WELL AS FACE TO FACE COUNSELLING?

Yes! Left and Right is proud to offer counselling face-to-face, online via video chat, or simply by a phone call

IS WHAT I SAY TO MY COUNSELLOR PRIVATE?

Yes! What you say in your sessions is strictly between you and your counsellor. The only time that confidentiality may be broken is in the event of a court request or an immediate threat of harm to yourself or someone else

WHAT IF I NEED TO BE REFERRED TO ANOTHER SERVICE?

Left and Right Counselling is partnered with a number of other services to provide further assistance and specialty care if required, including psychologists, psychiatrists and temporary live-in facilities

HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I GET A YEAR?

Left and Right Counselling has no limit to the available sessions per year. You can agree the session frequency with your counsellor

DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM A DOCTOR?

We do not currently require a mental health care plan from a GP or anything similar.

HOW LONG ARE THE COUNSELLING SESSIONS?

Left and Right offers sessions from 30 to 60 minutes in duration, with 90 minute and 120 minute sessions available when required
